 Hot air balloon flight is based on the principle that hot air is less dense than cold air, and the same volume of hot air is lighter than cold air, thus creating buoyancy. When ascending: the air inside the balloon is heated, causing the air to expand and become lighter, and if the buoyancy is greater than gravity, the balloon can lift its load into the air; when descending: heating is stopped, cold air re-enters the balloon, increasing the balloon's weight, and when gravity is greater than buoyancy, the balloon descends. By controlling the duration and intervals of the burner's heating, the temperature of the balloon (gas density) is adjusted to control the ascent and descent of the hot air balloon.

The flight method of a hot air balloon:
2.1 Tethered flight.
Three to four tethering ropes, each 50 meters long, are used to secure the balloon to the flight site for tourists to experience taking off. The balloon operates within the range of these ropes, and it is essential to ensure that there are no high-voltage lines, light poles, buildings, or other obstacles within the activity area of the hot air balloon. The hot air balloon is recognized by the International Federation of Aeronautics as the safest aircraft.
2.2  Free Flight
Hot air balloons do not have rudders; their direction of movement must follow the wind. At different altitudes, times, and locations, the wind direction varies, and to adjust direction, one must seek out different layers of wind. Flying freely without oxygen equipment, a hot air balloon can reach an altitude of 3000 meters. The flight distance depends on the wind speed and direction during the flight.
